One day more ...

As we steadily get through lockdown, waiting for each proposed milestone and steps to more freedom, Nomads has been quietly planning our comeback.

There are still some unknowns and of course, the goal posts may change slightly depending what the Government announces but we are looking forward and planning for our groups, classes, workshops and productions to spring back to life very soon as well as some social events – how we’ve missed those too.

It has been sad to see our lovely little theatre sitting there, lights out, no noise, no-one coming in or out – usually a hub of activity for both its members and our community. We can’t wait to open the doors to everyone and feel the warmth and familiarity of stepping back into the building, doing the things we love.

We hope that you may be feeling a sliver of hope that seems to be slowly blooming in the country along with the spring flowers, It won’t be long, we will be together again but until then  take a stroll, skip, meander through the spring flowers like this lady and hold on to that thought that our theatre life will be back soon, only ‘One Day More’ (ok well multiply that a few times but you get our gist!).

So limber up those jazz hands, get the vocal exercises going, find your fluorescent marker and get the raffle prizes dusted down – we hope to see you all very soon. Stay safe, stay well.

young nomads & kings kids -status update

Providing the steps out of lock-down don't change we are hoping to have our kids classes back for the summer term after the Easter holidays.

Until we are fully out of lock-down we have to restrict all classes but hopefully by September restrictions will be lifted and we can start taking new members as more places become available.

For further information on all our kids activities, including our COVID safety measures, please contact: info@newmarketkingstheatres.com

Thank you!

ladies in lavender
September/oct 2021

Tuesday 28th September - Saturday 2nd October 2021
An evocative, heart-warming story of unfulfilled dreams and unrequited love, Ladies in Lavender tells the tale of two sisters, Ursula and Janet, who live in a close-knit fishing village in picturesque Cornwall in 1936. When a handsome and talented young Polish violinist, Andrea, (bound for America) is washed ashore, the Widdington sisters take him under their wing and nurse him back to health. But Ursula finds herself falling in love with Andrea, prompting a journey of self-discovery... and unease in others.

Come and see Nomads' version of this delightful play, and enjoy an evening of love, intrigue, Cornish wit, and the unpredictable workings of fate.
