This November, Nomads presents the enduring Charles Dickens masterpiece 'Great Expectations'
The story follows Pip, an orphan longing to rise above his humble beginnings and become a gentleman. He navigates love, ambition and fortune, as well as painful lessons that shape his character.
Exploring themes of social class, desire, loyalty and transformation, Dickens’s timeless narrative unfolds with mystery, heartache, and humanity, tracing Pip’s journey from innocence to maturity, as portrayed by some of Nomads’ finest performers.
Join us, and be transported back to a pre-Victorian era for an evening of drama, atmosphere, and unforgettable storytelling.
Nomads proudly presents the rib-tickling, thigh-slapping, thrill-packed tale of Robin Hood!
With his motley band of merry men -Little John, Will Scarlett and Friar Tuck - our legendary outlaw leaps to the rescue of Arthur and the villagers as they hatch a plan to outwit the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham and the conniving King John.
But they aren't the only ones in need - the radiant Maid Marion and her fabulous Lady‑in‑Waiting, Dame Peony Bouquet, are battling their own share of the Sheriff’s evil schemes.
But fear not! With a sprinkle of magic from Willow (and a whole lot of mayhem) you’ll be swept up in a whirlwind of adventure as Robin fights to save the day!
So join us for our annual classic family pantomime where you can expect cheers, boos, slapstick and surprises as Robin Hood’s adventure bursts to life on stage.

Our lucky dip is open to anyone over the age of 18. Numbers cost £12 per year and you can have as many numbers are you like. The monthly draw awards 3 prizes of £30, £25 and £20. The 100 Club runs annually and payment made by March 31st each year.
The 100 Club makes an annual donation towards expensive equipment and building repairs. Please see the attached joining letter for more information!

GETTING HERE
The Kings Theatre has a small car park with 2 disabled parking spaces. There is also a public car park opposite in Grosvenor’s Yard. Both car parks can fill up quickly, so please ensure you allow plenty of time to park and get to theatre and be seated before the performance begins.
The theatre is a 7 minute walk from the bus station, and a 12 minute walk from the train station.
Auditorium doors are closed at the advertised start time and Nomads reserves the right to operate a no admittance policy for late-comers to ensure the enjoyment of our seated patrons. Thank you.
We do not generally offer refunds unless a show is cancelled by us or there are extreme circumstances.
Ticket prices for concerts and other small productions (including any non-Nomads productions) may vary.
When a show sells out, we can take your details and contact you should tickets become available. This will be on a first come, first served basis.
We use hazers and other smoke effects which are non toxic and perfectly safe to use for both our cast and patrons. Musicals use the theatre's sound system which includes microphones and amplified music, we therefore recommend that you consider carefully before purchasing a ticket for babies or very young children, both for their own enjoyment and that of our other patrons.
